Crewe, 17 February 2016: Bentley Motors has announced a new model to its range - the Flying Spur V8 S. It will make its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show between 1-13 March 2016 and deliveries will begin this summer.
Taking its place between the Flying Spur V8 and family flagship W12, the V8 S is tuned for power and performance, with increased engine output and revised suspension offering a more focused and precise driving experience. The Flying Spur V8 S features a number of sporting styling cues including a black radiator grille and rear diffuser along with a unique grille insert and 20” open-spoke painted wheels, that give the new model a dramatic appearance.
Bentley’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 S engine delivers a peak output of 521 bhp and 680 Nm torque from 1700 rpm and does 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Power is delivered via an all-wheel-drive system with a 40:60 rear-biased torque split for a sure-footed, engaging drive in all road and weather conditions.
The new Flying Spur V8 S returns a combined cycle fuel economy of 10.9 L/100km and CO2 emissions of 254 g/km, and a new responsive suspension tuning improves handling and body control.
The Flying Spur V8 S retains its luxurious, limousine-smooth ride quality and sports piano-black wood veneers and a three-spoke sports steering wheel. A unique colour split features two-tone seats with a contrasting roof centre bow with V8 S headrest stitching. Customizable options include a semi-aniline hide option, straight-fluting on the leather seats and the Mulliner Driving Specification that gives a small-diamond quilting pattern reminiscent of a tailored British jacket.
The spacious cabin encases advanced acoustic, WiFi hotspot connectivity and electronic technologies with a touch screen remote that can be used to control the car’s climate and infotainment systems from the rear seat.
