New Delhi, 12 July 2017: Sedan-like luxury meets SUV-like performance in Volvo's latest offering. But that's not all. Add to it estate-like spaciousness, wrapped in a legendary Swedish design language that exudes understated elegance. That in a nutshell is the new Volvo V90 Cross Country.
Launched at a price of INR 60.0 lacs, the V90 Cross Country is a first of its kind go-anywhere estate for the discerning adventure seeker who is a bit tired of the rugged, aggression of SUVs but doesn't want to compromise on any of its performance features.
Powered by the D5 2.0L diesel engine with a peak power throw of 173Kw/ 235 Hp and peak torque of 480 Nm, the V90 Cross Country boasts of specs that can excite any performance junkie. It is mated with an 8-speed gearbox with paddle shifts for a sporty drive, has an unladen ground clearance of 210 mm and a wading capacity of 300 mm. Add to it creature comforts like Nappa leather ventilated seats with massage option, a sleek central console with an intuitive iPad-like touch interface, 19 Speakers Bowers & Wilkins Sound system, panoramic sunroof, 4-zone climate control, heads-up display, hands free power tail gate; and what you get is an adventure-ready set of wheels without compromises. It makes for that perfect get away car for a weekend escape, with remarkable off-roading performance, on-road comfort and luxury.
Mildly rugged and exuding a 'back to the 80's' cool when estates were fashionable, the V90 Cross Country has a calming interior garnished with modern day tech & luxury features. It is taller than most SUVs in the segment and sits on 20" alloys and comes with the Haldex AWD system, hill descent control and an off-road driving mode. A segment first feature is the rear Air-Suspension which makes sure the car wades through rough terrain with ease. There are 4 drive modes - Eco, Comfort, Dynamic and Off-Road; and a Power Pulse feature that spools up the turbo instantly, negating any turbo-lag from a stop-go situation.
Safety features include radar guided safety, which mitigates collisions and aids the driver in dangerous situations. There is adaptive cruise control, lane keeping-aid, rear collision warning, park pilot assist, blind-spot detection with cross traffic alert, and collision warning with full auto-braking for pedestrians, cyclists, other vehicles and large animals.
The V90 Cross Country comes in seven colors - Crystal White Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic, Magic Blue Metallic, Osmium Grey Metallic, Onyx Black Metallic, Havana Maple Brown Metallic and Magic Blue Metallic; and is available for deliveries across Volvo Cars dealerships in India starting today. It can also be booked online on CarWale which will re-route bookings to the selected dealer and the delivery process will be taken offline like a regular purchase. Every online booking comes with a 2-nights get away at a luxury resort in India.
So drive further and go anywhere. Let the adventure find you.
